AINOPOL Integrated Communication & Security Full-Optical Networking Debuts at CIIF, Empowering Intelligent Manufacturing Digital Transformation

Wireless signals fluctuate unpredictably in workshops, causing AGVs to drop connections mid-operation. Buried copper cables become tangled during renovations, requiring wall drilling for every capacity expansion. IT and OT networks operate separately, blurring the security boundaries of industrial control systems. As manufacturing shifts toward flexible production and smarter production lines, the traditional network foundation built on copper cables and multiple independent networks is hitting its performance ceiling.

On October 12, 2026, the 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This year’s fair coincides with tightened regulatory requirements: on October 1, MOPS Ministerial Order No.176, Measures for the Supervision and Inspection of Cyberspace Security by Public Security Organs, officially came into force. It extends supervision scope from "internet security" to "cyberspace security". Factory PLC, SCADA and industrial control networks, as network facilities and data nodes, are included in inspections. Network compliance for industrial enterprises has changed from an optional extra to a mandatory requirement.

AINOPOL showcased its Integrated Communication & Security full-optical networking solution at the New-Generation Intelligent Manufacturing Exhibition. The solution delivers a networking architecture with optical fiber as the foundation, enabling native convergence of network connectivity, communication and security to address this critical compliance challenge.

Integrated Communication & Security: Built on Single Fiber, Unified Connectivity and Security

Networks in digital factories are far more than simple data transmission pipelines. Built on full-optical infrastructure, powered by audio & video services and shielded by native security controls, AINOPOL’s Integrated Communication & Security solution features three mutually supportive capability layers to sustain stable factory operations.

1. Robust Full-Optical Foundation for Reliable Connectivity

The premise of Integrated Communication & Security is resilient fiber that withstands harsh factory conditions. Heavy electromagnetic interference on production lines, legacy factory cabling and phased expansion all pose challenges for communications and security. The solution addresses these challenges in three dimensions:

Anti-electromagnetic interference & low latency for real-time industrial control: Large motors, frequency converters and welding machines near production lines are strong electromagnetic interference sources, which heavily disrupt conventional copper cables. Paired with industrial-grade hardware, the full-optical links maintain stable connectivity even under heavy electromagnetic interference. Optical transmission delivers lower forwarding latency, meeting stringent timing requirements for real-time industrial control. It prevents disconnections and stuttering for cameras, robotic arms, AGVs and other production terminals, eliminating signal jitter.

POF optical-electrical composite cables simplify deployment with long-distance power supply: Replacing traditional copper cables, POF composite cables transmit optical signals and power over one single cable. They support distances up to 800 meters without repeaters, delivering stable power for remote endpoints. Renovation projects that previously required wall breaking and re-cabling become lightweight single-run wiring, fundamentally resolving messy cabling issues.

Scalable expansion to protect existing investment: Optical fiber boasts massive bandwidth potential. One-time cabling supports business evolution for up to 30 years and remains future-proof. The full-optical architecture scales flexibly alongside business growth. New workstations, cameras or production terminals can be connected to nearby optical nodes without overhauling the whole network.

With a solid physical foundation in place, diversified services can run smoothly over this optical network.

2. Multi-Service Convergence, Eliminating the Need for Stacked Independent Networks

On top of the infrastructure lies communication capability. Traditional deployments deploy separate networks for voice, data, video and access control, leading to bloated and messy architecture. The Integrated Communication & Security solution converges all these services onto one unified full-optical network, enabling multiple terminal types to share the same infrastructure with one-time cabling.

Unified bearing of diverse services over single fiber: Services once isolated across separate networks — voice, data, video, access control, public broadcasting and more — are now consolidated on one full-optical network. It drastically cuts the volume of cables and hardware, simplifying subsequent modifications and expansions.

Intelligent audio & video linkage breaking communication silos: On this network, calls, broadcasting and surveillance footage can trigger each other intelligently. Security incidents can automatically trigger broadcasting and push corresponding camera streams simultaneously. On-site responders no longer need to switch between multiple intercom and surveillance terminals, shortening communication loops.

Cloud-based streamlined O&M to reduce manpower: All devices are managed on the EAAS cloud platform. Deployment, configuration and inspection are completed remotely in the cloud. Centralized policies can be pushed to all nodes in one click, and faults can be located remotely. Daily operation and maintenance shifts from on-site point-by-point checks to centralized cloud monitoring, freeing technicians from repetitive site visits.

Once all services converge on one network, security can no longer be a standalone add-on. It must be natively embedded into the network — this is the core value of Integrated Communication & Security.

3. Full-Domain Protection under Integrated Communication & Security to Safeguard Internal Network Boundaries

Since communication and security share the same fiber infrastructure, protection does not require stacked external appliances but is built directly into the network. Defenses are implemented layer by layer through segmentation, authentication and auditing.

Hard network isolation + zero-trust cross-network access to create security zones: Hard isolation is implemented between IT and OT networks. Cross-network access follows zero-trust principles: authenticate first, grant authorization afterwards, and permit access only with least privilege. Industrial control systems are enclosed in independent security zones, preventing full-network compromise if one segment is breached.

Multi-factor identity authentication to govern terminal access: Abandoning the old internal/external network distinction, all access requests undergo identity verification regardless of source. It supports 802.1X, MAC address and other authentication modes. Devices failing verification are blocked from connecting, keeping unauthorized endpoints out.

Boundary security protection to block cyber threats: Security policies are deployed at network ingress and egress points. The Dream Gateway M1 integrates firewall capabilities including IPS, WAF and antivirus AV. It identifies and intercepts abnormal traffic and known threats, reducing risks from ransomware, sniffing and other attacks penetrating the internal network, while retaining critical evidence for post-incident forensics.

Traceable real-name logs complying with Order 176: Supporting more than ten real-name authentication methods including WeCom and DingTalk, the solution records full traces of key access and operations, providing auditable evidence for compliance audits in industrial control scenarios. Communication and security originate from the same fiber, so protection is embedded inside the network rather than attached externally.

Integrated Communication & Security: Safeguarding Production Rhythm and Compliance Baseline Simultaneously

At this CIIF booth, AINOPOL drew visitors from manufacturing enterprises, campus developers and system integrators.

The most frequently asked questions revolved around link stability in hot, electromagnetically intensive workshop environments, minimal-impact renovation for legacy factories, network upgrades for operating plants with limited downtime, and practical implementation of industrial control audit and IT/OT isolation. AINOPOL held in-depth discussions with visiting partners on these topics.

Industrial sites now demand networks that do not merely “connect”, but remain stable and controllable. When production lines run on second-level cycles, network infrastructure is no longer a secondary component — it becomes a long-term core asset of production.

With regular inspections mandated under Order 176, real-name authentication, end-to-end traceable log retention and cybersecurity protection have become key audit items. Enterprises need a network foundation with natively integrated communication and security, with transparent, auditable records. AINOPOL will continue to embed networking, communication and security onto the same optical path, building reliable, inspection-ready infrastructure for factories and industrial parks that underpins non-stop production.
